We got a surprise visit from a group of 24 girls from the University of Pittsburgh on Monday.. who spent one day in Chicken Bay getting windsurf beginner lessons by our instructors Manu and Dominik. It was a very successful, funny and entertaining day especially for the spectators watching! 24 girls, 23 and a half bikinis, 12 boards and sails =  organised chaos!! Thanks to the raki technique they were able to beach start as well as tacking and even sometimes coming back. Its a pity they have left as the whole of Pigadia was getting into "windsurfing".

Exciting news for all you keen climbers or wanna be climbers who are just itching for a challenge......

Club Anemos is now offering rock climbing on top of windsurfing, amongst other things being...the perfect spot to enjoy an ice cold Mythos at the end of the day!!

Our professional climbing instructors Manu and Toni have discovered many perfect locations... one of which the profi's took a few guys and gals to test their routes that they have set up. The routes start at a very beginning level and range to a challenging, experienced level.

The few chosen ones for the first test climbing run where chosen according to their specified skills! They include master chef Chris from Anemos, Kaya who is 6 years old and Ellie who is 4 years old. The three of them were tested to their limits, but conquered all!

It was a fun morning had by all. The pictures just prove it!

Hope you all had a great Easter and safe journey's to those of you who went away for the holidays!

Most of the team started their Sunday morning with a windsurf session... good wind conditions.. with sails ranging from 3.7 - 4.2 depending on the muscle size, but everyone was completely satisfied with their time on the water and the new equipment looks very schick.... watch this space for up the upcoming team photo shoot! We then headed to the legendary Kavanaugh's where we had a BBQ, with so many delicious different dishes to choose from, so thanks to everyone involved! (Our extended family). A certain Frenchman had a birthday too...so Manu.. we hope you had a brilliant day and look forward to spending more with you on Karpathos!

Our team is getting bigger slowly too Master Chef Chris is back with us and already preparing his new menu to get many of your mouths watering, as well as our team zoo. Over Easter we got two new kittens to the family, with Surfina keeping a watchful eye over them.

We are counting down the days until opening.....6 more sleeps:)

We are finally back on the island and ready for the Summer of 2011!

Bossi and Tam spent a couple of not so freezing (as Tam refers to any European Country during the winter and spring) weeks in Munchen preparing for the great trek down to Karpathos! They even managed a couple of sightseeing tours before starting the drive down, with an extremely (this is meant literally.. the packing was an extreme sport as danger of concussion was a great risk due to falling objects) packed to the brim Van, via Ancona Italy where the first ferry awaited us! Then onto Pireuas via Patras.. onto the last leg of the amazing race, against the high waves that were experienced on route, being the island we all know and love...... Karpathos. They were welcomed by many familiar faces including the Smith and Kritsiotis family and of course, one of our own...the one and only Veronika and her side kick Surfina as well as a fabulous bbq hosted by the Smith Family.. thanks to them for being such great hosts and to Stacey for her amazing....Amarula filled dessert! Welcome back to Manu who arrived last Sunday too! Keep watching this space for updates!

Dear Karpathos friends !

Christmas is close and the team is all over the world.

Our Anemos girls Veronika & Tam , are doing well in warm winds and water and also testing all the cocktails in El Yaque. They promised already to bring a lot of new recipes for long Anemos Nights!

Alexandra and Joker enjoying the snow in Munich in the moment and will travel through Namibia, Botswana up to the Vic Falls in January.

Our Instructor Chris is working as a centre manager on the Philippines on an island called Boracay and then moving on to western Australia until April.

Radko & Bara are busy with ski- and snowboard courses in Czech Republic having incredible good snow conditions. David is working as a bartender in Czech Republic as well and training a lot muay thai and judo , so if you need a body guard …

Sumeco and Michael are selling Christmas trees in Bratislava (if you still need one …), living in a small caravan in front of a shopping centre  and then moving on to Tenerife … windsurfing of course  !

A few of the Anemos team are enjoying their “winter” on the majestic Island of Margarita in Venezuela! Leaving Karpathos at the beginning on November they made their way to Venezuela, together with Princess Surfina, who enjoyed the long trip the most, sleeping most of the way as the girls envied her. Check out the pics!

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy Festive season, as we are getting closer to Christmas time and great holidays whether its on the slopes or another hot destination!
